Audio drama

I'm not an actor, but .....

I'd always given a body-swerve to voice jobs which required a character or drama element because "I didn't go to stage school so I'd surely be an imposter".   At some point though, you have to take a leap of faith .....

With the exception of a panto which we recorded at Wycombe Sound in 2019, I'd never acted before.  Sure, I mimic voices and accents from the tv and radio all the time, at home, but I've never unleashed that to the public.  Until now.

To be fair there is quite a lot of Mistress Page in me.  She's old enough to have a grown-up daughter.  She's strong and self-assured.  She's playful.  And, like me, she'd be very flattered to receive a love letter, until she finds out who it's from........

Many audio dramas are recorded remotely, with each actor in their own booth at home.  Hats off to the editors who pull them together so seamlessly.   In this instance we were all together in the wonderful Limelight Theatre, recording in scene order, which I'm told is a luxury!

Check out Unbound Theatre to find out more about their projects, both on stage, and off.
